- This should show all the current Spotlight indexers. You should have only one indexer for Evernote. And that should be the one residing in the application bundle. In my case, there were two: one in the application and one in /Library/Spotlight. If you have more than one Evernote indexer, delete all except the one in the application bundle.

Conference attendees can forego the post-conference business card shuffle by simply photographing cards as they are received. Booth signs and displays can also be photographed for later recall. (A great feature to use at this month’s Medtrade conference!) The OCR technology means handwritten notes, lists and reminders are easily incorporated and searchable, too. One of the main benefits of the Evernote platform is the myriad of ways one can search for information. One word can recall all data related to that word. Can’t remember the name of a contact you made but can remember the industry? Search by that keyword. Know you attended a presentation on a specific date but cannot remember anything else about it? Search by date to direct you to the presentation and to find the particular point you want. Some of Evernote’s key features include the ability to:

Information manager expert Evernote Corporation has recently updated its 'universal human memory extension' to version 1.1. While still in beta, the application adds a number of new features as well as tweaks, based on user feedback, such as PDF support Encryption, Spotlight integration, Mixed View Mode and a Vertical Preview Pane, to name some of the most important additions.

This one will blow you away: say you type in the search field the word 'apple'. If you have an image that contains (no, not an apple) the word apple written on it somewhere, the app will highlight that image immediately. OK, let's go a little slower.

Basically, Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient. The app then makes this information accessible and searchable at anytime, from anywhere, using the above mentioned criteria (keywords and images). That's it!
